Street Smart Kidz was started in November of 2004 with a goal to give  kids the tools to be able to think their way through dangerous  situations. To teach our kids a "Safety First" mind set in their daily  lives, as well as give their parents the resources, FREE OF CHARGE, to  achieve this goal.
 
Years of research started in July 2000, and has never stopped, and  will continue for ever. We have worked and consulted with The RCMP,  The OPP, The CHP, countless Government Medical and Child Welfare  organizations and the Klass Foundation. After 4 solid years of work  and research we were ready to talk to the kids.

We also realized during these incredible 4 learning years, the  Predators were also learning how to adapt to the latest Police techniques.

The Evolution OF STREET SMART KIDZ

• Street Smart Kidz started working with the public, giving 3 hour FREE  courses to 8 year olds to 14 year olds in Jan. 2004

• 438 kids went through the Street Smart Kidz classroom FREE of charge,  by Sept. 2004

• Because of popular demand a waiting list was formed, which started at 3 months and was at 15 months when we looked for a another way to get the message out.

• Shirley Dickie came on board and said "WE must produce a booklet to get the Safety Word out!"  I immediately thought it was brilliant,  Shirley became our most important Director of the Board and we ran  with it, we mailed out over 12,000 Child Safety Booklets, FREE OF  CHARGE, April 2007

• Demand never, ever stops, even today, it just never stops because  it's FREE and it's quality. Shirley sat me down, and explained we can't keep fund raising for postage to get our OUTSTANDING Child  Safety Booklets out, "Steven , we must go online so families, kids,  schools, community groups and child safety groups can download our information for free. FREE! So that's what we did!

• Today we speak at schools across Canada, Community groups, Police Meetings, University groups. In the last 3 years, Street Smart Kidz of  Canada has spoken in front of 11,500 Parents and over 22,976 rowdy,  surly, full of attitude teenagers. They are the swell of my heart! I  can't explain how good it feels when they realize your not there to con them or shoot them a line. The CONNECT is amazing!!
