Important Resources

We offer families support in finding their missing child and provide educational materials to help prevent children from going missing. MissingKids.ca is owned and operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, a charitable organization dedicated to the personal safety of all children.

Every year, more than 50,000 reports of missing children are made to police in Canada. We know that children go missing for many reasons, and come from every walk of life and from every corner of this country. As a resource centre, MissingKids.ca partners with police and other stakeholders in the search for missing children. www.missingkids.ca

Covenant House Providing love and hope to Vancouver's street youth

Covenant House Vancouver exists for those young people for whom there is often no one else — young people aged 16 - 24 who have fled physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse, those who have been forced from their homes or those who have aged out of foster care.

We bandage their cut-up feet from days and nights walking the streets; give them hot food and a warm bed and support them in their choice to change their present circumstances while helping them heal from past traumas.

Covenant House relies on the generosity of over 50,000 individuals and organizations to provide shelter, food, clothing and counselling to over 1,400 young people each year.

The Cumberland Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Cumberland (District 5020) was chartered on 3 June 2005 with 20 members and has grown to 30. We are one of four Rotary clubs in the Comox Valley on beautiful Vancouver Island.

The Cumberland Rotary is one of the founding supporters of Street Smart Kidz Program - they have donated funding for booklets when we were passing them out on the streets - long before the development of the Street Smart Kidz website.

Without their initial and continuing support our program would not be available for families throughout Canada. We are very grateful for all of their contributions.

Thanks Cumberland Rotary from all of us!
